Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Nano Technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, attention to detail, and a commitment to high safety standards.

  • Mechanical Assembly & Fitting

Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and assembly diagrams accurately.

Assemble, fit, and align mechanical components, machines, and systems as per design specifications.

Use appropriate tools, instruments, and techniques for fitting, drilling, grinding, and alignment.

  • Installation & Commissioning

Assist in the installation and alignment of machines, mechanical equipment, and production lines.

Support engineers during machine trials and commissioning activities.

Ensure proper mechanical connections and adherence to installation standards.

  • Maintenance & Repair

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical systems, tools, and machinery.

Identify and repair worn-out, damaged, or malfunctioning parts.

Replace bearings, shafts, seals, gaskets, couplings, and other components as required.

  • Troubleshooting & Support

Diagnose mechanical faults, vibration issues, or misalignments in machines.

Assist maintenance teams and engineers in resolving mechanical breakdowns quickly.

Report recurring issues and suggest corrective actions for long-term reliability.

  • Production & Process Support

Support production teams by ensuring smooth operation of mechanical equipment.

Monitor equipment during operation and report abnormalities immediately.

Ensure proper lubrication, cleaning, and calibration of tools and machines.

  • Safety & Compliance

Follow all workplace safety rules, PPE usage, and machine lockout/tagout procedures.

Maintain cleanliness and safe housekeeping in the work area.

Ensure mechanical activities comply with company safety and quality standards.

  • Documentation & Reporting

Maintain maintenance logs, work reports, and part replacement records.

Record daily activities, material usage, and downtime details in prescribed formats.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and report any critical issues promptly.

  • Tool & Material Handling

Handle tools, instruments, and mechanical parts carefully to prevent damage.

Ensure tools and equipment are calibrated, maintained, and returned after use.

Support material movement, loading, and unloading of mechanical components.

  • Team Coordination & Support

Coordinate with electricians, welders, and technicians during mechanical and electrical integration.

Assist engineers and supervisors in project execution and on-site activities.

Support continuous improvement initiatives in the workshop or production line.

  • Quality & Continuous Improvement

Ensure all fittings and assemblies meet dimensional and quality requirements.

Check tolerances, surface finishes, and alignment as per standards.

Suggest ideas to improve assembly efficiency, reduce rework, and enhance equipment performance.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹9,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
