About Information Technology

Information Technology (IT) department at Axis bank, relates to all the Applications that Axis bank has, be it for the customers or for the internal bank staff IT team will own and manage these applications This would include change - which is business and tech enhancements, and run - which would include full time support for the applicationsTo analyse and validate the business requirements for the specific applicationTo develop system specifications and test the system against the specifications / business scenarios providedTo coordinate the development effort for small to medium size projects / change requestsNew technical requirements are properly integrated with existing processesParticipate during requirement gatheringWrite technical requirements from a critical phasePlanning and Prioritization of the workInteract with vendors to understand software limitationsAssist programmers during system development, ex: provide use cases, flowcharts or even database designResponsible for system testing (SIT, Performance, security testing)Responsible for designing components and providing that information to the developerMonitoring system compliance in accordance with IT policy standardsResponsible for operational and Maintece activities of the systemCo-ordinate with the project teams and ensures that the resources are equipped to be productive in time to meet requirements Preparing Project plans and maintaining itStudy technological and business trends to be able to recommend changes to technology and business process to take advantage of advances in bothEvaluate alternative solutions to business problems and select preferred solution Justify selectionFor Enterprise Development team:Develop / customize data-warehouse systemsDevelop / customize MIS reportsDevelop a plan for the maintece of data-warehousePlan and execute extraction, translate and loading of data from source systems to data-warehousing environmentMonitor and report data quality across the loading lifecycleDeliver & SupportResolve, recover and close application related incidentsIdentify and classify application/data-warehouse related problemsPerform root cause analysis for application related problemsResolve application related problemsIssue recommendations for improvement and create a related request for change [application related]Maintain application related problem records, known problems, known errors and workaroundsQualificationsGraduate from a recognized universityRole ProficienciesSystems requirements definitionImpact analysis and effort estimationCoordination for small to medium size projects / change requestsSystem testingProvide functional and user interface design specifications to the development teamWork with business and Solution Architects to identify suitable options and review these to identify the most suitableGather, document and maintain the necessary information to enable the project team (business and IT staff) to undertake the project and deliver successfullyDocument proposed changes to the requirements and solution to enable impact analysis and revised business case, specifications, budgets, timescales and plans to be prepared and authorisedDevelop the processes necessary to efficiently operate the proposed solution including user guides, manuals, training materials and implementation and data conversion aidsWork with business and IT staff to enable thorough testing and successful implementation of the solutionDemonstrate application functionality , solicit feedback and ensure that project sponsor requirements are met
