Our client is a leading global organization in the industrial equipment and machinery sector, specializing in innovative solutions that drive operational efficiency. They are currently seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their team at the Ahmedabad facility.

Position Summary:

The IT Support Engineer will provide technical assistance to employees at the Ahmedabad facility. This role involves setting up and maintaining computer hardware, software, networks, printers, and scanners. The IT Support Engineer will resolve technical issues both in-person and remotely, diagnose hardware and software problems, and collaborate with the global IT team for network and account setups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Address user tickets related to hardware, software, and networking.
• Set up accounts for new users and manage existing accounts.
• Ensure the security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
• Maintain records of software licenses and manage equipment and supplies.
• Assist users in installing applications and computer peripherals.
• Diagnose problems by asking targeted questions.
• Provide step-by-step instructions to users for troubleshooting.
• Conduct remote troubleshooting and test solutions.
• Customize desktop applications to meet user needs.
• Record technical issues and solutions in logs.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the next level of support.
• Follow up with users to confirm system functionality.
• Report user feedback and potential product requests.
• Help create technical documentation and manuals.
• Collaborate with global IT teams to achieve enterprise-wide goals.
• Engage with business vendors for day-to-day problem resolution.
• Stay updated with industry technology trends.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, and Mac OS environments, including Office 365.
• Working knowledge of office automation products and peripherals (printers, scanners).
• Understanding of network security practices and anti-virus programs.
• Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions.
• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.
• Customer-oriented attitude.

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics & Communication, or equivalent experience.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum of 5+ years of proven expertise in network and system support activities.
• Thorough understanding of system architecture and networking architecture.
• Solid experience in architecting, configuring, deploying, and testing infrastructure setups.
• Global experience required.
• Basic project management capabilities.
