Job Title

  • Develop and maintain robust relationships with employers, training partners, and educational institutions across Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore to create effective referral and placement pipelines for youth from STEM backgrounds (BSc IT, BTech, BCA, MCA, BCom IT).
  • Guide and support youth through skills training, mentoring, and placement activities aligned with their Personal Development Plans, ensuring readiness for entry-level tech roles.
  • Conduct regular motivational sessions to ensure youth attendance and engagement with training and placement processes.
  • Drive successful placement outcomes by matching youth profiles with market demands in tech sectors and facilitating sustained employment for at least six months post-placement.
  • Leverage online recruitment platforms such as LinkedIn, Naukri, and Indeed to connect with recruiters and identify relevant job opportunities for freshers.
  • Organize exposure visits, job fairs, guest lectures, and mock interviews tailored to market needs and youth aspirations.
  • Map and engage with local institutions (government, NGOs, private sector) offering skills training to expand placement opportunities.
  • Monitor youth attendance, performance, and post-placement retention through continuous follow-up and support.
  • Collaborate with Youth Development teams across districts and regions to enhance program quality and ensure safe, positive experiences for all participants.
  • Maintain accurate data collection and reporting to demonstrate program impact and inform continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a role model, exemplifying professional communication, positive behavior, and resilience to inspire youth.

Core Competencies:

  • In-depth market knowledge of entry-level tech roles and recruitment trends.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills with employers and training partners.
  • Ability to motivate and engage youth from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Proficient in using online job platforms and digital tools for recruitment and placement.
  • Organized with excellent time management and data reporting capabilities.
  • Empathetic approach to youth development and career guidance.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification from a reputed institution.
  • Proven track record of working with disadvantaged youth aged 17-25, particularly STEM graduates and final-year students seeking employment.
  • Experience of 5-10 years in employability skills training, job placement, or youth development programs.
  • Skilled in partnership development, referral processes, and monitoring partner delivery.
  • Familiarity with challenges faced by youth from tier-3 and tier-4 institutions and strategies to overcome them.
  • Experience engaging with community stakeholders including parents, schools, colleges, and local governance bodies.
  • Ability to provide holistic guidance to youth on career and personal development issues.
