About Astitva Astitva is a grassroots non-profit organisation working in the Nilgiris to improve maternal and child health, nutrition, and community wellbeing . We implement evidence-based, community-driven initiatives through partnerships with local stakeholders, strengthening public health systems and empowering tribal and rural families. Position Overview The Project Coordinator will oversee and manage Project Nourish under Astitva’s health and nutrition portfolio. The role involves field coordination, project monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder engagement to ensure effective delivery of nutrition interventions across villages. The position is field-based and requires frequent travel within the Nilgiris. Key Responsibilities Coordinate the planning and implementation of Project Nourish activities. Supervise and support field teams in daily operations. Liaise with ICDS, Health Department, and partner NGOs. Conduct periodic field visits for monitoring and troubleshooting. Compile data, prepare monthly/quarterly reports, and maintain documentation. Facilitate training, awareness sessions, and community events. Track progress against project goals and ensure timely completion of tasks. Report to the Project Manager and contribute to reviews and evaluations. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Strong communication and documentation skills in Tamil and English. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and coordinate with diverse teams. Freshers with strong commitment and organisational skills are welcome. Desirable Qualifications Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related fields: Sociology, Rural Development, Public Health, Development Studies, or Nutrition. Prior experience in NGO or government-linked health/nutrition projects. Resident of The Nilgiris (preferred). Compensation Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
