Company Description India Labourline (ILL) is an access-to-justice organization committed to safeguarding the rights of unorganised sector workers. Through mediation, legal aid, and other mechanisms, ILL addresses labour rights violations and empowers workers to claim their entitlements. A key part of our work involves Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR), enabling workers to secure what is rightfully theirs. Since its inception in July 2021, ILL has registered over 23,000 labour rights cases, successfully resolving more than 40% in favor of workers. Our program operates through a network of Workers Facilitation Centers in 14 cities and a toll-free helpline, ensuring access to justice for unorganised workers across India. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Social Worker located in Delhi, India. The Social Worker will be responsible for providing mediation services, legal aid, and support to unorganised sector workers. The role involves conducting interviews with workers, documenting cases, facilitating alternate dispute resolutions, and ensuring that workers are aware of their rights and entitlements. Additionally, the Social Worker will work closely with the Workers Facilitation Centers and the toll-free helpline team to register and mediate labour disputes. Qualifications Experience in Social Work, Community Engagement, and Advocacy skills Familiarity with Mediation, Legal Aid, and Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) processes Strong Communication, Documentation, and Case Management skills Knowledge of labour laws and rights, and experience working with unorganised sector workers Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in multiple languages, especially those spoken in India Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Law, or related field
