Position Title:

Job Summary

IT Networking Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
Monitor and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi network issues.
Manage and maintain IP addressing, subnetting, and routing configurations.
Ensure optimal network performance, availability, and reliability.
Implement and monitor network security measures, including firewalls, antivirus, and access controls.
Support configuration and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers.
Manage data backup, disaster recovery, and system restoration procedures.
Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
Provide technical support to users and coordinate with vendors when required.
Assist in planning and implementing network upgrades and new IT projects.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
Experience with network devices (Cisco, HP, Mikrotik, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, etc.).
Knowledge of network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Wireshark.
Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.

Educational Qualification

Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics.
Certifications Preferred:
CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
