• Follows up developments and trends on the IT market and works with the operational entities to understand their needs
• Analyses and models the Company's processes and makes recommendations to improve efficiency in adapting them to the information systems
• Evaluates and compares market solutions
• Establishes specifications in line with business requirements
• Proposes and selects the IT projects that are worthwhile
• Defines the architecture of IT solutions (SAAS or On Premise, Group or local common applications, ..)
• Selects potential subcontractors and participates in contract negotiations
• Manages projects making sure to stay within the agreed budget and schedule
• Configures and sets applications (possibly in collaboration with external partners), carries out tests, participates in deployment and any transfer of data, defines the use procedures and draws up the documentation and training materials
• Programs or develops applications in different languages or technologies by adhering to specifications and documenting
• Trains and coaches users
• Acts as skills centre in the control of our applications supporting the entities' local representatives or directly vis-à-vis users
• Carries out database administration and monitors the performances and security of the applications
• Ensures compliance with good practice in the use of applications and participates in audits of our systems
• Provides change management in the implementation of new applications
• Manages the teams of functional specialists, technical specialists and internal and external developers
