IT Head

As the IT Head at CIF, your primary role will be to architect, manage, and future-proof the entire digital ecosystem of the organization. This critical leadership position involves overseeing a rapidly growing data infrastructure of 200+ TB, expanding at a rate of 5 TB per month. You will play a key role in designing a robust archival and retrieval system, ensuring smooth network operations, and supporting core activities such as online courses, webinars, and digital media promotion. Additionally, you will lead a small team and collaborate closely with the Media Head to efficiently manage digital assets. Your key responsibilities will include: - Strategic IT & Data Architecture Planning: - Analyzing current and future storage requirements across platforms like Vimeo, local storage, and cloud services. - Designing, planning, and implementing a comprehensive, scalable, and cost-effective archival and retrieval system for the media library. - Developing and enforcing a data lifecycle management policy, including guidelines for downsizing, transcoding, and long-term preservation. - Forecasting technology trends and planning budgets for IT infrastructure to ensure CIF remains "future-ready." - Network & Systems Management: - Managing and maintaining LAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity to ensure high availability and security. - Overseeing the CCTV system and other security infrastructure. - Implementing robust backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity protocols. - Webinar & Digital Event Support: - Taking ownership of the technical execution of webinars and online courses, from pre-event system setup to post-event processing. - Ensuring flawless audio-visual quality and reliability for all live online events. - Media Asset Management & Team Leadership: - Mentoring a two-member support team for network maintenance and media handling tasks. - Collaborating with the Media Head to understand creative needs and translate them into technical requirements for storage, format, and delivery. - Overseeing processes for uploading, downloading, and organizing content across storage platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, internal servers, and cloud archives. - Streamlining workflows for processing, tagging, and retrieving media assets. - Ecosystem Integration: - Developing a deep understanding of how digital components interact and optimizing their integration. - Evaluating and recommending new software and hardware solutions to enhance efficiency.
