Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and reliable IT Engineer to join our team in Siliguri, West Bengal. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked on Government or Public Sector projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot IT hardware, software, and network systems
• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and network devices
• Manage LAN/WAN, internet connectivity, and basic network security
• Support IT requirements for government projects as per defined guidelines and standards
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT equipment and services
• Ensure data backup, system security, and access control
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of government IT applications and portals
• Ensure compliance with government IT policies and audit requirements

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field

Experience & Skills:

• Proven experience as an IT Engineer or similar role
• Prior experience working on Government projects is mandatory or highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and networking
• Basic understanding of servers, firewalls, and cybersecurity best practices
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and system maintenance
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, CompTIA, or similar
• Experience in government data centers, e-Governance projects, or public sector IT environments

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
