Role & responsibilities

Maintaining harmonious employee relations:
This includes addressing employee concerns, mediating disputes, and implementing programs to foster a positive work environment.
Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations:
IR professionals must stay up-to-date on relevant legislation and ensure that the company's policies and practices comply with all legal requirements.
Negotiating and administering contracts:
This includes negotiating collective bargaining agreements with unions, as well as administering other employee contracts.
Managing employee grievances and disputes:
IR professionals are often responsible for investigating and resolving employee grievances, as well as mediating or arbitrating disputes.
Developing and implementing employee relations policies and programs:
This can include creating and implementing policies on topics such as harassment, discrimination, and workplace safety.
Providing guidance and support to managers and employees:
IR professionals often serve as a resource for managers and employees on matters related to labor relations, compliance, and employee relations.
Staying informed about industry trends and best practices:
This includes staying current on developments in labor law, as well as best practices in employee relations and conflict resolution.
