Job Description 1. Industrial Relations (IR) & Employee Relations (ER) Lead IR strategy for the BU with strong stakeholder management. Maintain harmonious industrial relations across plants. Handle union negotiations, settlements, and statutory compliance. Act as the primary interface between management and union representatives. Ensure timely resolution of grievances and disciplinary cases. Ensure adherence to labor laws and government regulations. 2. Plant HR Management Oversee HR operations across all manufacturing units. Drive manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding & training for plant operations. Enhance shop-floor engagement, productivity, and workforce capability building. Implement HR governance, safety culture, and compliance processes. 3. Corporate HR & HR Strategy Lead HR policy formulation, implementation, and standardization across BU. Partner with BU leadership to design HR strategies linked to business goals. Drive HR transformation initiatives aligned with Murugappa Group standards. 4. Performance Management System (PMS) Lead KRA setting, goal alignment, and performance review processes. Strengthen performance culture and capability development for leaders. Drive interventions to identify and develop high performers. 5. Talent Management & Organizational Development Drive talent acquisition, retention, succession planning, and leadership development. Introduce OD frameworks to improve organizational effectiveness and culture. Anchor learning & development programs to enhance employee capability. Lead change management initiatives for growth and digital transformation. 6. HR Analytics, Budgeting & Compliance Oversee HR metrics, dashboards, budgeting, and cost optimization. Ensure statutory and legal compliance across plants and corporate functions. Provide data-driven insights to leadership to support strategic decisions. 7. Stakeholder Management Partner with BU Head, Corporate HR, and Group leadership teams. Act as a trusted HR advisor to senior management and plant leaders. Build culture, engagement, and leadership alignment across the BU. 8. Safety, Welfare & CSR Coordination Partner with the EHS team to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. Oversee employee welfare initiatives such as canteen, transport, medical, and housing (if applicable). Support CSR initiatives connected to the plant Qualifications & Experience MBA/MSW in HR or IR from a reputed institution. 15+ years of experience in HR within industrial equipment, machinery, engineering, heavy manufacturing, or automotive sectors. Strong expertise in Industrial Relations , union handling, and plant HR. Exposure to a multi-unit HR leadership role preferred. Proven experience in OD, PMS, Talent Management & corporate HR strategy. Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills.
