About the Role

Project Accountant

Key Responsibilities

Handle complete billing operations including client invoicing, GPC recharge, and accreditation body invoicing.
Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely invoicing in accordance with defined SLAs.
Maintain and audit invoicing trackers, reports, and documentation in PCM and other internal systems.
Analyze weekly and monthly invoicing data; identify risks or gaps and drive corrective actions.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and team leads to implement process improvements and standardizations.
Support new tool or process rollouts; create training materials and conduct training sessions.
Prepare workload forecasts and backup plans for team continuity.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies for better efficiency and quality.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com / BBI / BAF).
Minimum 1 year of experience in invoicing, billing, or accounting operations (shared services or SSC preferred).
Proficiency in
MS Excel
and
PowerPoint
; exposure to PCM or document management systems preferred.
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written English.

Preferred Skills

Experience with client billing, collections, or intercompany invoicing.
Understanding of SLA and KPI tracking.
Exposure to global invoicing tools or ERP systems.
Process-oriented mindset and strong attention to detail.

Key Performance Metrics

On-time invoice delivery and accuracy.
Reduced credit notes and billing discrepancies.
High compliance with internal/external audit standards.
Timely and accurate publication of weekly/monthly reports.
High internal and external stakeholder satisfaction.
