Inventory Manager

Job Position : Inventory Manager

Job location : Erode

Qualification : Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Management, Supply Chain, or related field.

Salary : 20k to 30k

Experience :

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in inventory control or store management in a steel plant or heavy manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in ERP systems like Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of steel plant materials (e.g., scrap, billets, electrodes, refractory, spares).
• Familiarity with inventory control methods such as ABC analysis, EOQ, etc.

Relevant Industry :

Inventory Management

• Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and tools.
• Conduct regular stock reconciliations and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Maintain stock records in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory and recommend corrective actions.

Store Operations

• Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials in compliance with procedures.
• Ensure proper labelling, categorization, and binning of stock items.
• Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) or LIFO (Last In, First Out) as per policy.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with procurement, production, and maintenance departments for material requirements.
• Track pending material requests and follow up on procurement status.

Compliance & Safety

• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations in material handling and storage.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit and documentation standards.

Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
• Support audit activities by providing required data and documentation.
