Inventory and logistic Specialist (Intern)

The Logistics and Inventory Specialist plays a crucial role within the IT Operations department, focusing on the efficient management of shipping, receiving, and inventory of IT equipment. Your responsibilities will include managing and coordinating the shipping and receiving of computer and other IT equipment, tracking inventory levels, developing efficient shipment schedules, ensuring compliance with shipping and inventory regulations, and resolving shipment and inventory issues by collaborating with internal and external teams. You will be expected to maintain accurate stock levels through regular inventory checks, develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and carriers, utilize online tools provided by carriers, and conduct regular analysis and reporting on shipping/receiving and inventory performance. Additionally, you will continuously monitor and evaluate shipping and inventory processes for improvements and efficiencies, provide guidance to streamline equipment preparation and shipping processes, and track and support hardware issues for users. To excel in this role, you should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, teamwork skills, flexibility, and patience. Experience with shipping and receiving procedures, customs clearance of IT equipment, and knowledge of shipping and inventory regulations and policies is required. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software, and the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines are essential. You should also have strong problem-solving and analytical skills and be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Preferred qualifications include graduates, additional training or certification in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management, and business fluency in English. Additional languages are a plus.
