Role Overview:

We are looking for Node.js or Python interns

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services for the RealLives platform using

  Node.js

  or

  Python

• Integrate APIs and support platform features like RealBoard, Empathy Canvas, and RealLives ChangeMaker Index

• Collaborate with senior developers on AI integration

  to support personalized simulation experiences and competency tracking
• Support data collection, analysis, and visualization for tracking the

  RCMI competencies

• Contribute to platform scalability, security, and performance improvements

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in

  Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields

• Strong proficiency in Node.js

  or

  Python

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, database systems (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud deployment

• Interest in AI, social impact, edtech, and simulation games

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or on-site team environment

• Experience with data visualization or analytics

  is a plus
• Fluent in

  English
