Sigma Corporation India Ltd. is a leading Automotive Ancillary that specializes in OE & Aftermarket Supplier of Vibration Control products like Engine Mounts, Strut Mounts & Kits, Hydraulic Mounts etc. for Passenger Cars and Commercial Vehicle applications. Based in New Delhi, Sigma Group has been a prominent Automotive Supplier & Exporter for several decades, supplying products to global markets.


Role Description

At Sigma, the sales team is the engine that drives the global consumer reach of our products. We’re seeking a qualified sales manager who can help keep this engine running with their own sales skills as well as leadership of a team. The ideal sales manager has deep experience with the entire sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and deal closing. We’re looking for a quick learner who has strong negotiating skills — someone with a successful track record who can inspire the same performance in others. The role demands a leader who has a sharp mind and an ability to coach, advise, motivate, while building and maintaining a high-performance relationship with all stake holders.


Objectives of this role

  • Represent the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of our offerings
  • Research consumer needs and identify how our solutions address them
  • Achieve company objectives by planning thoroughly, setting sales goals, analysing performance data, and making forecasts.
  • Develop skills continuously for hiring, training, and leading team members, and ensure that they're using effective sales tactics to meet revenue objectives
  • Generate leads, and establish and nurture client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands our customer base and extends the company's global reach. Identify potential new markets and customers.
  • Meet with potential & existing customers and grow long-lasting relationships that address their needs
  • Set objectives, train and coach team members, and monitor their performance 
  • Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop plans for filling them
  • Ensure that company quotas are met by holding daily check-ins with inter company to set objectives and monitor progress
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Plan, design, and execute various marketing activities like trade shows, industry gatherings at domestic and international level.
  • Maintain market leadership through effective marketing, selling processes, high quality marketing materials, web site, and presentations.
  • Receive customer RFQs, conduct feasibility, workout product costing and timely submission to customers.
  • Record customer orders and ensure timely deliveries.

Required skills and qualifications

  • B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed Institute.
  • 10 or more years of experience in managing sales & marketing in a corporate setting in Automotive Industry.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office & presentation skills.
  • Must have good understanding of Product costing, Engineering drawings & APQP process.
  • Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Superb leadership ability
  • Since the position requires handling customer key accounts in US, EU and LATAM regions, hence ability to travel internationally is must.
