International Roaming and Interconnects Engineer

Role Overview: You will play a vital role in ensuring seamless international roaming services for customers in the telecommunications industry. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting, monitoring, and resolving issues related to international roaming services to maintain high service quality and customer satisfaction. Your typical day will involve network auditing, change management and implementation, SLA management, L1 support, advanced troubleshooting, and handling VIP complaints. Key Responsibilities: - Responsible for the day-to-day operation and support of international roaming services, including voice, data, and messaging. - Monitor and troubleshoot roaming-related incidents to identify the root cause and ensure swift and effective resolution. - Perform regular technical analysis to ensure the optimization and quality of international roaming services. - Collaborate with internal teams, roaming partners, and vendors to resolve escalated technical issues and implement corrective actions. - Conduct testing and verification of new roaming agreements and configurations to ensure they meet regulatory and service requirements. - Generate reports, analyze roaming service KPIs, and contribute to the improvement of processes and procedures. - Manage the international roaming operations team and provide 1st line support for all network-related issues. - Support escalation of international roaming, A2P SMS, Data, and international voice issues. - Handle communications with Sponsored Roaming Partner and international interconnects for SMS, Data, and Voice. - Develop and manage Roaming and International Carrier products. - Build knowledge and manage daily operation activities to high efficiency. - Collaborate with Roaming Partners and internal stakeholders to identify issues and fixes for inbound/outbound live roaming incidents within the agreed service SLA. - Be part of a 24/7 shift rotation pool. Qualifications Required: - Previous experience in managing international roaming services in the telecommunications industry. - Strong technical skills in network auditing, troubleshooting, and change management. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with internal and external stakeholders. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle VIP complaints effectively. - Knowledge of regulatory requirements and service standards related to international roaming. - Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift rotation pool.
