Job Description

International Business Development Manager Maritime Sales

Role & responsibilities

  • Develop Singapore maritime market through lead generation, client acquisition, and industry events.
  • Promote and sell marine supplies (technical stores, bonded stores, safety gear, spares, consumables).
  • Handle RFQs, proposals, contract negotiations, and sales closure.
  • Manage key client accounts; act as single point of contact for order execution and after-sales.
  • Prepare proposals with Incoterms (FOB/CFR/DDP) and finalize pricing/contracts.
  • Coordinate with procurement, QC, and logistics teams in Mumbai for timely fulfillment.
  • Oversee export documentation (Invoices, Packing List, HS Codes, COO, MSDS, Certificates).
  • Liaise with freight forwarders and shipping lines for delivery and compliance.
  • Track vessel movements, competitor activity, and provide strategic market insights.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Education:

    Graduate in Commerce / Marine Engineering / International Trade (MBA preferred).
  • Experience:

    5-10 years in international maritime sales, ship chandling, or offshore supply.
  • Skills:

    B2B sales, pricing negotiation, relationship management, CRM, export documentation.
  • Knowledge:

    Marine procurement, Incoterms, IMO/SOLAS/MARPOL compliance.
