Software Project Consultant

Job Description

Role & responsibilities Lead and manage multiple projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budgets using MS Project. Apply Agile/Kanban and Waterfall methodologies appropriately, tailoring approaches to project needs and organizational standards. Utilize ToolCost and other relevant tools to track project progress, manage costs, and optimize resource allocation. Identify, analyze, and manage project risks and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies. Facilitate regular project meetings, including status updates, sprint reviews, and retrospective meetings. Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project execution. Implement Lean tools and techniques to improve project efficiency and eliminate waste. Monitor project performance, report on progress, and provide recommendations for improvements. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and communications. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience as a Project Manager with a strong understanding of Agile/Kanban and Waterfall methodologies. Proficiency in using MS Project for project planning, scheduling, and tracking. Experience with ToolCost or similar project management and cost tracking tools. Strong skills in risk and issues management, with the ability to anticipate, identify, and address potential problems. Familiarity with Lean tools and techniques for process improvement. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
