Tekla Checker (Structural Steel)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Tekla Checker to ensure the accuracy and quality of structural steel models and drawings created in Tekla Structures . The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of steel detailing standards, fabrication practices, and drawing presentation, along with the ability to guide junior modelers and maintain project deliverable quality. Role & responsibilities Review and check 3D Tekla models for completeness, accuracy, and constructability. Examine shop drawings , erection drawings , and material lists generated from the model for adherence to client and project standards. Validate correct application of connections , welds , bolts , and fabrication details. Identify and correct discrepancies, clashes, and modeling errors. Ensure compliance with steel detailing standards (e.g., AISC , NISD , BS , IS ). Coordinate with modelers, project engineers, and detailers to resolve technical issues. Provide feedback and mentor junior modelers to improve overall output quality. Maintain and follow project-specific QA/QC protocols and documentation. Collaborate closely with the project manager to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical field. Minimum 4 years of experience in structural steel detailing and checking using Tekla Structures . Strong knowledge of fabrication and erection standards and practices. Experience working on international standards (U.S., Canada, UK, Middle East, or Australia) is preferred.
