Job Description

Drive international sales growth across Francophone Central and West African regions

Identify manage new business opportunity

The ideal candidate must be fluent in French, possess in-depth knowledge of tendering processes (multilateral agencies, government, PPP models), and have hands-on experience in business development across countries such as Senegal, Mali, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Niger, Cameroon, DRC, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

1.

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue solar EPC opportunities across Central & West Africa.
  • Develop and execute region-specific go-to-market strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government bodies, energy ministries, IPPs, EPC players, and tendering agencies.

  • Lead end-to-end tendering process for international solar projects (pre-qualification to bid submission).
  • Analyze RFPs, RFQs, EOIs; prepare technical & commercial proposals in coordination with engineering and commercial teams.
  • Ensure all proposals comply with local regulations and donor/funding agency requirements (e.g., World Bank, AfDB, AFD, GIZ).

  • Act as the company's regional representative for trade events, exhibitions, and government delegations.
  • Coordinate with local partners, agents, and consultants to strengthen business presence.
  • Support in forming strategic alliances and JVs for tender participation.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maintain regular client visits and interactions across target countries to build trust and brand credibility.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and negotiation from tender stage through award and contract signing.

5.

  • Provide insights on regional solar energy policies, incentive programs, and tender forecasts.
  • Regularly update leadership on business pipeline, risks, and competitor landscape.

Key Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering / Business / International Relations
  • MBA or Masters in International Business (preferred)

Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years in Solar EPC / Renewable Energy business development or tendering.
  • Must have handled tenders in Francophone African markets, preferably with track record of won projects.

Skills:

  • Fluent in French (spoken and written) Mandatory
  • Knowledge of African energy market structure and regulatory environment
  • Excellent networking, negotiation, and contract closure skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, tender portals, CRM tools, and documentation processes

Core Competencies

  • Strong understanding of Solar EPC tendering in Africa
  • Excellent command over

    French (speaking/writing)

    and English
  • Strategic thinking, proposal leadership, and partner management
  • Strong negotiation, documentation, and communication skills

Willingness to travel and operate independently in developing Markets
