Internal Audit Manager

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

a. Conduct periodic internal audits of manufacturing units covering production, procurement, inventory, finance, and operational controls.

b. Review adherence to SOPs, internal policies, statutory requirements, and corporate governance standards.

c. Evaluate reliability and integrity of financial reporting processes and transaction accuracy.

d. Assess effectiveness of cost controls, waste reduction measures, material accounting systems, and asset safeguarding practices.

e. Identify gaps, potential risks, and efficiency improvement opportunities across processes.

f. Prepare clear audit reports with findings, root cause analysis, and actionable recommendations.

g. Follow up with unit leadership on implementation of audit recommendations and track closure status.

h. Support risk assessments, annual audit planning, and the development of control frameworks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.

Preferred candidate profile

What would a successful candidate possess?

1. Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant atleast semi qualified.

2. Atleast 5+ years of experience in internal audit, plant audit, controls testing, or manufacturing finance roles.

3. Prior exposure to multi-plant manufacturing environments is preferred.

4. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to question assumptions constructively.

5. Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or similar), and audit documentation tools.
