Position Summary
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you’ll be involved in a range of tasks spanning mechanical design, FEA and basic automation. Create and deliver effective presentations to executive management as well as site teams. Additionally, the role will involve light coding work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Examine the overall MTU Engine portfolio.
- Understand the overall structure and Bill of Material for engine – in SAP and Creo.
- Using the basics of mechanical engineering work on the harmonization of C class parts.
- Prepare dashboard or overview of the variations used for future reference.
- Carry out FEA analysis for C class parts – if needed.
- Implement the changes in the CAD model and SAP structure too based on harmonization results.
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Masters degree in Mechanical engineering.
- Excellent applied knowledge about reciprocating internal combustion engines used in genset applications.
- Excellent ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, strong ability to read and interpret the technical Norms, FEA reports.
- Capable of executing FEA – bolt analysis with minimal support.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
- Strong problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
- Strong ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and explain those conclusions to management in form of presentations
- Strong CAD and PLM, ERP tools: Creo, wind-chill, drafting tools, SAP.
