Job Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer for a 6-8 months contract to support our projects in Hazira, Surat, and ONGC Mumbai High Offshore.
• The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong background in both onshore construction and offshore operations.
• This is a third-party contract role where you will be responsible for a range of instrumentation and control system activities from pre-commissioning to commissioning.
• A crucial part of this role will be performing tasks related to the final system check-out, ensuring all instruments are calibrated, and all systems are working as per design specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Commissioning and Pre-Commissioning: Lead and execute a variety of commissioning and pre-commissioning activities, including:

• Inspection of plant facilities and safety instruments like PSV (Pressure Safety Valves).
• Calibration of instruments before and after installation.
• Stroking of valves and stroking checks.
• Loop checking.
• Final function/trip testing.
• System preservation and string testing.
• No-load runs (uncoupled) of motors.
• 72-hour performance run tests.

System Checks and Troubleshooting:

• Perform ESD (Emergency Shutdown) logic simulation checks.
• Carry out start-up checks for pumps.
• Work on control systems (DCS/ESD/FGS) for start-up and operation.
• Provide troubleshooting expertise on field instruments and systems.

Documentation and Coordination:

• Complete and re-instate checklists.
• Manage planning and status reporting.
• Issue and monitor the punch list.
• Act as a key vendor interface.
• Coordinate with the contractor's technical team for pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education:

  BE/Diploma/B. Tech in Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering.

• Experience:

  8-10 years of experience as an Instrumentation Engineer/Supervisor with a focus on construction, maintenance, and commissioning in the Refinery/Petrochemical/Oil & Gas field.

• Skills:

  Demonstrated experience in calibration and hot loop checks of instruments, and proficiency with control systems like DCS, ESD, and FGS.
