JOB Summary
- We are seeking an Instrumentation & Control Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in skid/package engineering and design for oil & gas, petrochemical, or process plants.
- The role involves design, specification, and integration of instruments and control systems for skid-mounted equipment, ensuring compliance with international standards and project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain instrument index, I/O lists, and instrument datasheets for skid-mounted units.
- Prepare hook-up drawings, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and cable block diagrams.
- Select and specify instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level, analyzers) in line with project requirements.
- Support design and integration of PLC/DCS-based control systems with skid equipment.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, ISA, API, ATEX/IECEx, and project-specific standards.
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, and electrical teams for instrumentation interfaces.
- Review vendor documents, participate in technical bid evaluations, and provide clarifications.
- Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems.
Technical And Industry Experience
- Proven experience in instrumentation design for skid-mounted/package units in oil & gas, petrochemical, or chemical industries.
- Strong knowledge of ISA, IEC, API standards, and hazardous area instrumentation.
- Familiar with instrument sizing, calibration, and selection (control valves, transmitters, sensors, analyzers).
- Exposure to PLC/DCS integration, industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Hands-on with AutoCAD, SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation), or equivalent instrumentation design tools will be an added advantage
- Experience with instrument installation, testing, and loop checks during fabrication and commissioning.
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation / Control / Electronics Engineering.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in instrumentation & control design for skid/package systems.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control philosophies.
- Knowledge of instrument databases, calibration procedures, and vendor document reviews.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
