Job Title: Instrument Technician/Mechanic

Location: Bundi, Rajasthan

Department: Maintenance / Instrumentation

Reporting To: Instrumentation Engineer / Maintenance Head

Job Purpose:

To ensure smooth operation and maintenance of all instrumentation and control systems in the ethanol plant. Responsible for installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of process instruments to maintain optimal performance and plant safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Commissioning:

Install and configure process instruments like pressure transmitters, level transmitters, flow meters, temperature sensors, and control valves.

Assist in commissioning of new equipment and control systems.

Calibration & Testing:

Perform periodic calibration of instruments as per schedule.

Maintain calibration records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in instruments, PLC, DCS systems, and control loops.

Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance of all instrumentation systems.

Documentation & Reporting:

Prepare maintenance logs, calibration certificates, and reports.

Ensure instrument spare parts availability and maintain inventory.

Safety & Compliance:

Follow safety procedures during maintenance and calibration.

Ensure compliance with ISO, PESO, and other regulatory requirements.

Coordination:

Coordinate with production and mechanical teams to minimize downtime.

Provide technical support during plant upsets or breakdowns.

Qualification & Experience:

Qualification: Diploma/ITI in Instrumentation/Electronics or related field.

Experience: 2–5 years in Instrumentation maintenance in ethanol, sugar, chemical, or similar process plants.
