Instructional Design Manager

Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of instructional designers and content developers.
• Collaborate with academic and functional leaders to align content with program goals and learner needs.
• Define instructional design frameworks, standards, and quality benchmarks for digital learning.

Instructional Design & Development

• Oversee the end-to-end design of courses, including storyboarding, scripting, assessments, and multimedia integration.
• Ensure alignment of all content with learning outcomes and Bloom’s Taxonomy.
• Advocate the use of modern pedagogies (microlearning, flipped classrooms, project-based learning, etc.).

Technology Integration

• Ensure effective use of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and authoring tools (Articulate, Captivate, etc.).
• Promote use of analytics, interactive media, and AI-powered tools for adaptive learning and personalization.

Quality Assurance

• Review and approve instructional materials for consistency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure adherence to learning standards and user experience principles.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), faculty, multimedia designers, and developers to deliver high-quality content.
• Manage timelines, workflows, and resource allocation for multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications and Experience

Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, Curriculum Development, or related field.

Minimum 6 years of experience in instructional design, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
