Job Description

Position Summary:

The Inside Sales Executive will be responsible for driving business growth by developing new customer relationships and expanding existing accounts within the U.S. logistics and transportation market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in U.S. freight brokerage or logistics sales, an understanding of U.S. lanes and carrier networks, and the ability to identify, negotiate, and close high-value opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify, research, and engage with potential shippers across various industries in the U.S. market through calls, emails, and digital outreach.
  • Sales Development: Present S&S Brokerage’s logistics services to decision-makers, negotiate pricing and service terms, and secure new business.
  • Customer Management: Build long-term client relationships by providing consistent communication, timely updates, and exceptional service.
  • Quoting & Rate Negotiation: Prepare and deliver accurate freight quotes; negotiate rates with carriers and customers to ensure profitability and service excellence.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with carrier sales and operations teams to ensure on-time pickup, delivery, and issue resolution.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, opportunities, and customer interactions in the company CRM system.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about U.S. logistics market trends, rate fluctuations, and competitor activities.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in inside sales, logistics sales, or freight brokerage within the U.S. market.
  • Hands-on experience with U.S. freight lanes, shippers, and carrier networks is mandatory.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with minimal supervision.
