mPragati is a state-of-the-art National Centre for MedTech Product Development, located at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi). Funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the Department of Health Research (DHR), and IIT Delhi, mPragati offers extensive support and expertise for all aspects of MedTech product development. The center focuses on areas such as new product development, ISO manufacturing, testing, and certification of medical devices. mPragati fosters innovation through a collaborative approach, providing training and skill development programs, and supporting innovators at various stages of product translation.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Injection Molding Expert located in New Delhi. The Injection Molding Expert will be responsible for developing and optimizing injection molding processes, overseeing the design and fabrication of molds, troubleshooting and resolving production issues, and ensuring quality control. Additional tasks include conducting material research, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing best practices in mold maintenance. As part of the mPragati team, the expert will contribute to the development of advanced medical devices and support various stages of product translation.

Equipments in-house

- Plastic Injection molding (90 Ton)

- Silicone Injection molding (20 Ton)

- Micro plastic molding (60 Ton)

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Injection Molding, including process development and optimization, and knowledge of

• Mold flow analysis
• Experience in Mold Design and Fabrication
• Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving production issues
• Knowledge of Quality Control and Assurance techniques
• Candidates should possess Material Research skills
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with medical device standards and regulations is a plus
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
