As an Information Developer (Technical Writer) in the Product Documentation/ Technical Communications department located in Pune, you will play a crucial role in creating user-centric documentation that enhances product understanding and adoption. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical insights, edit existing documentation for clarity and technical accuracy, and participate in process improvements and content strategy initiatives. Your responsibilities will include: - Create and support various types of documentation such as user manuals, API documentation, installation/configuration guides, FAQs, and online help systems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product workflows and gather technical insights. - Edit and refine existing documentation for clarity, consistency, and technical accuracy. - Use DITA, single sourcing, and content reusability principles to ensure high-quality content. - Follow documentation standards and style guides such as the MS Style Guide. - Participate in peer reviews, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and gain exposure to bug tracking and task management tools like JIRA and Bugzilla. - Contribute to process improvements and content strategy initiatives. Qualifications Required: - 38 years of experience in technical writing or related roles. - Exposure to telecommunications or software development is a plus. Preferred Skills & Tools: - Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Sprint, and DevOps environments. - Experience with structured authoring and DITA principles. - Proficiency in authoring tools such as oXygen XML, MadCap Flare, FrameMaker, and ArborText. - Knowledge of markup languages (Markdown, AsciiDoc), CMS platforms (Confluence, Notion), and version control systems (Git, GitHub). - Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript). - Awareness of UX writing, accessibility, and content design. - Experience with diagramming tools like Lucidchart and Draw.io. - Interest in emerging technologies such as AI, ML, IoT, Cloud, and RAN. - Working knowledge of AI tools and LLM. Soft Skills: - Strong organizational and time management abilities. - Adaptability and eagerness to learn. - Collaborative mindset with openness to feedback and mentorship.
