We are seeking a talented and motivated Bluetooth Localization Engineer to join our engineering team. You will play a crucial role in the design, development, and deployment of high-accuracy Indoor Positioning Systems (IPS) using advanced Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technologies and machine learning algorithms. This role is ideal for an engineer passionate about solving complex localization challenges in dynamic indoor environments.Key Responsibilities
Design and Deploy IPS: Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust Indoor Positioning Systems using BLE technologies.Implement Fingerprinting Systems
: Develop and implement algorithms for both the off-line (radio map creation) and on-line (real-time localization) phases of fingerprinting systems.Algorithm Development
: Utilize and implement machine learning techniques such as Weighted k-Nearest Neighbors (Wk-NN) or Support Vector Machines (SVM) for accurate position matching.Optimize Signal Processing:
Understand and mitigate the impact of environmental factors like signal attenuation, multipath effects, and human movement on signal stability.Develop Software/Firmware
: Write and maintain high-quality code for embedded systems and mobile application integration.Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with hardware, mobile development, and data science teams to integrate the localization system with other platforms and ensure seamless functionality.Troubleshoot and Test
: Conduct rigorous testing, analyze performance, and troubleshoot localization issues to ensure the highest level of system availability and accuracy.Required Skills and QualificationsExperience
: Proven experience in a technical engineering role, with specific exposure to wireless communication or localization projects.Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
: In-depth knowledge of BLE protocols, including Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) analysis and an understanding of advanced features like Bluetooth 5.1's Constant Tone Extension (CTE).Indoor Positioning Systems (IPS)
: Experience with IPS design, utilizing methods such as fingerprinting, triangulation, or Angle of Arrival (AoA).Programming Proficiency:
Strong programming skills in languages relevant to embedded systems (C/C++), mobile development (Kotlin/Swift), and data analysis (Python).Machine Learning Fundamentals
: Familiarity with ML concepts for data processing and algorithm implementation in localization contexts.Problem-Solving
: Strong analytical skills and an innovative approach to solving complex, real-world positioning challenges.Education
: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
