Job Description

Required Qualifications and Skills

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, or related field; a Masters degree or specialized supply chain/logistics certification is preferred.
Extensive experience (typically 15-20 years) in import management within the chemical or petrochemical industry, with proven expertise in handling bulk raw material imports.
Strong knowledge of international trade laws, customs regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to petrochemicals.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage suppliers and internal teams effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
Leadership skills to manage and develop import teams, ensuring operational excellence and motivation.
Proficiency in ERP systems, import management software, and data analysis tools.
Experience in coordinating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines, especially for ocean/sea freight routes.

Experience

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in import operations, preferably in the petrochemical or chemical manufacturing sector.
Experience managing large-scale import logistics and supply chain operations.
Proven track record of cost management and process improvement in import functions.
