Role Overview: A Sales Executive specializing in Base Oil is responsible for driving sales and business development of base oil products, which are raw materials for lubricant manufacturing and other industrial applications. This role involves managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, negotiating contracts, and achieving sales targets in the base oil market. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed company targets for base oil products. Identify, approach, and cultivate relationships with new and existing clients, including lubricant blending plants, oilfield chemical plants, industrial manufacturers, traders, and distributors. Provide detailed product knowledge and technical support related to Group 1, 2, and 3 base oils, rubber processing oils, and re-refined base oils. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with customers and suppliers. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory policies affecting base oil sales to adjust strategies accordingly. Manage the sales pipeline, prepare sales reports, and forecast demand and supply. Coordinate with logistics, shipping agents, and customs to ensure smooth delivery and compliance with government regulations. Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, supply chain, and product management to enhance customer satisfaction and business growth. Handle customer complaints and provide after-sales support to maintain strong client relationships. Travel as required to meet clients, attend industry events, and explore new markets. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Chemical Engineering or a related discipline; MBA in International Business or Marketing is preferred. Ideal candidate: Proven experience (typically 3-6 years) in sales and marketing of base oils or petroleum products, preferably with exposure to lubricant industry segments and international markets (e.g., India, UAE, Middle East, Africa, LATAM). Strong knowledge of base oil types, applications, and industry standards. Familiarity with government procedures, customs, port regulations, and land transport logistics related to base oil trade. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and sales analytics tools. Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and drive business growth.
