Roles & Responsbilities Compliance: Ensuring all import and export activities adhere to international trade laws and regulations, including customs procedures and documentation. Shipping & Logistics: Coordinating the movement of goods, including selecting carriers, negotiating rates, and managing logistics providers. Documentation: Preparing and reviewing shipping documents like invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations. Relationship Management: Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other relevant parties. Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with international trade, such as delays, customs issues, or legal challenges. Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategies to optimize import/export operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. Financial Management: Managing costs associated with shipping, duties, and taxes, and potentially negotiating favorable payment terms. Market Knowledge: Staying informed about changes in international trade regulations, tariffs, and market trends. Communication: Effectively communicating with internal teams (sales, purchasing, etc.) and external stakeholders regarding shipment status, documentation, and other relevant information. Problem Solving: Resolving any issues or challenges that may arise during the import/export process, such as delays, customs clearance problems, or discrepancies in documentation. Preferred candidate profile Degree in Marketing, (International) Business, Finance or any other related field At best, practical experience in a similar position Good understanding of sales and marketing strategies Well-developed communicational skills and a customer orientation Knowledge about budget management, international trade and taxations Ability to easily comprehend and organize shipment processes
