Job Description

Job Title: Image Creation Location: Chennai Roles and Responsibilities: Candidates should have 7 to 15 years of experience in Imaging. To develop, test and maintain software packages for distribution to user desktops, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise. • To build and maintain images containing operating system and core applications for distribution to user desktops, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise. • To maintain effective local documentation including standard operating procedures, best practices, and methodologies for application packaging and OS deployment. • To develop and maintain skills in Microsoft Windows, OS deployment and software packaging technologies, including assessing how they may be deployed into existing services or developed into new ones. • Identify and select, by agreement and liaison with users, the best method to deploy each piece of software requested taking into consider any current technical limitations. • To facilitate and run the yearly software request process used for the annual labs refresh including an assessment of lessons learned from the previous year with specific consideration given to whether it met the users’ needs. • Contribute to the development of the End User Computing infrastructure, particularly relating to applications and image deployment, assisting with the development of technical methodologies, best practice, policies, procedures and associated documentation. • Contribute to the ongoing software selection and management, particularly relating to applications and image deployment, best practice, policies, procedures and associated documentation. • Manage and maintain the existing License Servers, including yearly licenses refreshes, License manager updates, server updates as required. • Liaise with various software suppliers to help develop the service and manage and co-ordinate consultants and contractors working in your area. • Other reasonable duties at the request of your management. • Be active in ensuring your own continuing professional development and participate in relevant professional activities Being part of Build & cert squad, should be able to know end to end flow of task sequence deployment. Should know how to troubleshoot and update various steps related to OS Image, language pack, applications and others. Should know MDT integration and proficiency in managing customsettings.ini package. Should know how to create and update driver package. Should know how to customize Windows Image and Boot Image including injecting various drivers and customization related to it. Should have high level of proficiency in troubleshooting operating system deployment issues via task sequence. Should understand CI Baseline via SCCM. Should know managing and deploying group policies. Should understand Windows 10/11 deployment via group policy as well as via Intune Feature Update. Have an understanding of ITIL, to ensure work on incident, problem, change and request are to industry standards. Show more Show less
