Role Overview

Illustration Artist / 2D Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Create expressive and narrative-driven illustrations: characters, icons, scenes, editorial art, UI assets, and campaign visuals.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Marketing, and Art Direction teams to align visual style with brand tone and product goals.
• Iterate artwork based on feedback and design needs; ensure visual consistency, style adherence, and high-quality outputs
• Develop and maintain style guides, colour palettes, and illustration assets for cross-functional use.
• Deliver on schedule and manage multiple illustration projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.

Experience & Qualifications

• Education:

  Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Illustration, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field preferred.

• Experience:

  5+ years crafting high-quality 2D illustrations in in-house or agency settings, delivering across digital media.

• Portfolio:

  Strong portfolio showcasing character art, icons, editorial illustrations, and UI/UX visuals.

Essential Skills & Proficiency

• Software Mastery:

  Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate (or similar), with knowledge of vector and raster workflows.

• Artistic Foundations:

  Strong grasp of composition, colour theory, silhouette, visual storytelling, and adaptability across styles.

• Technical Awareness:

  Understanding of file formats, resolution requirements, cross-platform usage (web, mobile, print).

Soft Skills & Work Ethos

• Exceptional attention to detail, consistency, and visual polish.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, articulating visual decisions, and incorporating feedback. 
• Strong time-management—able to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
