IBM DB2 Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. IBM DB2 Administrator with 5–8 years of relevant experience in DB2 LUW administration. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DB2 architecture, backup & restore, HADR, performance tuning, and replication setups.

You will be responsible for database administration, monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless performance of mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage DB2 LUW architecture, installation, instance creation, and product setup.
• Create and maintain database objects (tables, indexes, views, tablespaces, stored procedures).
• Implement backup & restore strategies (online, offline, point-in-time recovery).
• Perform tablespace management, reorg (online/offline), and data movement utilities.
• Configure & maintain HADR for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Monitor database health using PD, TOP, and monitoring tools.
• Conduct performance tuning (DBM/DB parameters, query tuning using EXPLAIN/ADVISE).
• Handle redirect restores between servers and database upgrades/rollback plans.
• Implement replication setups (SQL & Q) for primary-to-standby environments.
• Troubleshoot issues related to logs, rollback segments, tablespaces, I/O errors, data corruption.
• Define naming conventions, data structures, storage parameters, and security rules.
• Estimate and recommend storage requirements.
• Apply patches, upgrades, and proactive monitoring to prevent outages.
• Support day-to-day database administration & performance optimization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,186.16 - ₹51,627.70 per month
