IAM Manager

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Manager is a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of an organization’s information systems. This position involves overseeing the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of IAM systems to safeguard the company's critical information assets. The IAM Manager works closely with various stakeholders, including IT, security, and business units, to align identity management strategies with organizational goals.

The skills that make you a great fit.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 11 years of experience in IAM or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of IAM technologies, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) and directory services (e.g., LDAP, Active Directory).
• Proficiency in IAM technologies such as Okta, Active Directory, Saviynt, CyberArk, and Strong DM.
• Strong understanding of security principles, standards, and best practices in the context of IAM.
• Proven ability to manage IAM projects from inception to completion, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, and post-deployment support.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring technical teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Preferred:

• Certifications: CISSP, CISM
• Experience working in Financial Services or another regulated industry
• Experience with cloud-based IAM solutions (e.g., Azure AD, AWS IAM) and hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with integrating IAM solutions within DevOps pipelines and CI/CD processes.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., NYDFS HIPAA) as they relate to IAM.
• Skilled in change management processes, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing disruptions during IAM implementations.
