Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site HVAC Engineer role based in Coimbatore. The HVAC Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing HVAC systems for various engineering projects. Daily tasks include developing detailed HVAC designs, preparing technical specifications, performing system maintenance and repair evaluations, and utilizing CAD software for equipment layouts, Carrier HAP for cooling load calculations and schematics. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and compliance with technical and safety standards is essential to the role.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in HVAC Engineering, HVAC Design, and general HVAC principles
• Proficiency in utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
• Knowledge of relevant safety standards and engineering best practices

ASHRAE, ISHRAE, SMACNA, IS, NBC, IECC, UMC

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Additional HVAC-related certifications or training (preferred).
• Prior experience in HVAC engineering or related fields (highly valued).
• Previous experience in the oil and gas industry or industrial projects is an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare HVAC cooling and heating load calculations using Carrier HAP and apply psychrometric analysis.
• Prepare and review HVAC Air Flow Diagrams (AFD).
• Prepare and check HVAC Ducting and Instrumentation Diagrams (D&ID).
• Prepare and review HVAC ducting layouts following project specifications and standards.
• Prepare and verify duct inline items datasheets (VCD, FD, NRD, dampers, etc.).
• Review and validate vendor documents for HVAC equipment and accessories.
• Prepare and check duct spool drawings for fabrication and installation.
• Prepare and verify HVAC Material Take-Off (MTO) for procurement and cost estimation.
