Job Description

Position: HVAC & Energy Management Engineer / Executive

Department: Air & Energy Management

Experience: 1-6 years of experience in HVAC / MEP / Energy management (Freshers may apply for a trainee role)

Location: New Delhi

Role Overview:

HVAC & Energy Management Engineer

This role demands a strong technical understanding of hydronics, air systems, energy efficiency, and BMS/automation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. HVAC System Integration & Commissioning

Execute installation, commissioning and testing of:

Armstrong DE Pumps, IPS 4000, and Plant Control Systems (IPC 9511 / IPC 9521)

Daikin Chillers (centrifugal, magnetic bearing, scroll)

Belimo Energy Valves & ePIV

ABB VFDs (ACS580, ACH580, ACH531, ACS310)

RUKS UVGI systems

Ensure proper balancing of water and air systems.

Perform system optimization for achieving maximum delta-T and energy savings.

2. Automation & Controls

Integrate HVAC equipment with BMS via BACnet, Modbus, MP-Bus.

Configure sensorless pump operations, flow/energy metering, and zone control.

Analyze and configure plant automation logic and system sequences.

3. Energy Analytics & Performance Management

Conduct micro-level performance analysis to identify inefficiencies.

Work with cloud-based platforms like Armstrong Pump Manager for:

Performance monitoring

Diagnostics

Reporting & trend analysis

Deliver recommendations to improve system uptime and reduce operating costs.

4. Client Management & Technical Support

Provide on-site technical support during operation and maintenance.

Train facility teams for proper handling of integrated HVAC systems.

Prepare documentation: reports, checklists, energy-saving calculations, and proposals.

5. Project Execution

Coordinate with contractors, OEMs, and internal teams.

Ensure project timelines, quality standards, and safety norms.

Manage commissioning schedules and handover procedures.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of HVAC systems, hydronic networks, air distribution, and plant room equipment.

Knowledge of VFDs, valves, pumps, chillers, IAQ equipment, and control systems.

Hands-on experience with system balancing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, energy efficiency norms, and green building practices.

Software / Tools:

BMS platforms (BACnet, Modbus, MP-Bus)

Pump/Chiller selection tools (preferred)

MS Office, reporting tools

Energy calculation tools (advantageous)

Qualifications:

Diploma / B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Energy Engineering

1-6 years of experience in HVAC / MEP / Energy management (Freshers may apply for trainee role)
