BMS Commissioning Engineer - Building Automation (BA)

Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled BMS Commissioning Engineer to support the commissioning, testing, and validation of Building Management Systems (BMS) across diverse sites. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in automation engineering, familiarity with BMS/SCADA systems, and a strong understanding of control protocols and modern building automation technologies. Key Responsibilities: Execute engineering, testing, and commissioning of Building Management Systems (BMS) and integration with other systems (HVAC, lighting, etc.) Perform IO loop tests, functional tests , and ensure all system components meet operational requirements Develop, configure, and test SCADA/HMI graphics and logic programming for BMS controllers Collaborate with project teams to design and implement customized automation solutions Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and post-commissioning Provide technical support to clients and internal stakeholders during the commissioning process Understand and apply protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, OPC (IP, Ethernet, MS/TP) in BMS networks Document commissioning procedures, prepare reports, and update system records Stay current with industry trends in automation, instrumentation, and control technologies Assist in the selection and application of modern control system architectures Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle Required Skills & Competencies: Hands-on experience in BMS, SCADA, DDC, PLC systems Strong knowledge of BMS protocols (BACnet, Modbus, OPC) and network communication Ability to develop and test HMI/SCADA graphic screens Experience with SQL databases (basic level) Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and manage site activities effectively
