Job Description Role: High Voltage Components Design & Development Engineer Role Overview:- Responsible for the design, development, evaluation, and validation of high-voltage (HV) components in Electric and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (EV/HEV). This role involves defining specifications, collaborating with suppliers, testing at part and vehicle levels, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting system-level integration for charging, traction, and vehicle control functions. Key Responsibilities:- Define EV/HEV electrical and electronic component specifications for charging, traction, and vehicle functions. Define and evaluate EV/HEV ECUs, EMS interfaces, functions, and controls. Perform hardware evaluation and testing of electrical components at both part and vehicle levels. Conduct supplier development activities including technical reviews and project schedule monitoring. Confirm processes for electrical and electronic components as per standards. Collaborate with system teams to identify electrical interfaces and calibration requirements. Support BOM creation, project scheduling, and documentation. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety requirements. Competency Requirements Technical / Functional Skills Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical & electronic components and systems. Good understanding of EV/HEV architectures and design considerations. Hands-on experience in component bench testing and vehicle-level testing. Knowledge of electronic controller testing, troubleshooting, and validation. Experience in BOM creation, scheduling, and supplier coordination. Familiarity with ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) requirements. Exposure to Hybrid/Electric Powertrain Control development, V&V, and OBD systems. Knowledge of EV/HEV regulations and standards such as AIS 041, AIS 038, AIS 102, AIS 048. Behavioral Skills Proactive and self-motivated. Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability. Eligibility Education Essential: B.E / B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication. Minimum 60% marks throughout academics. Desirable: Academic/Industrial project experience in EV/HEV/ICE Electrical & Electronic Components or related management systems. Experience3 – 10 years in Electrical/Electronic Components design, development, and validation (preferably in EV/HEV domain).
