Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Manager HR will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end HR operations, including payroll, compliance, talent acquisition, employee benefits, claims, and HR automation. The role requires strong expertise in HR strategy, process excellence, compliance management, and employee engagement, with the ability to lead a team and drive

organizational HR objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll & Employee Settlements

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including additions/deletions,

reimbursements, incentives, and benefits.

  • Conduct pre- and post-payroll audits; reconcile payroll with finance on a monthly and

quarterly basis.

  • Manage full & final settlements within 30 days of last working day.
  • Automate payroll processes and ensure smooth operations
  • Publish payroll MIS with department-wise cost analysis.
  • Introduce and implement employee tax-saving initiatives.

2. Talent Acquisition & Staffing

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment with defined TAT (30 days for junior, 60 days mid-

level, 90 days senior roles).

  • Enhance candidate experience through structured interviews, timely communication,

and transparent hiring processes.

  • Drive quality hiring through refined job descriptions, referrals, internal mobility, and

talent pipelines.

  • Negotiate consultant costs, reduce attrition, and partner with specialist recruitment

firms.

  • Ensure 100% adherence to TA processes Track recruitment metrics, team targets, and

achievement levels (80% or above).

3. Employee Claims & Benefits

  • Oversee timely processing of cashless medical claims, reimbursements, and

approvals.

  • Implement TAT-driven claim support (30 days for reimbursements, 3 days per ticket

for queries).

  • Coordinate employee health and wellness programs (e.g., annual health check-ups for

employees and parents).

  • Manage addition/deletion of employees in GMC/GTLI insurance within defined

timelines.

4. Incentives & MIS

  • Validate and ensure timely payment of sales and departmental incentives as per

structure.

  • Monitor negative incentives and adjust in subsequent payouts.
  • Publish incentive dashboards and MIS on a weekly basis.
  • Conduct payout audits to ensure accuracy and timeliness (not more than 5% pending

beyond eligibility date + 45 days).

5. Statutory Compliance & Audits

  • Ensure 100% compliance with PF, ESIC, LWF, PT, and other applicable labor laws.
  • Obtain and maintain licenses, registers, and returns (BOCW, CLRA, ISMW, Shops &

Establishments, etc.) for all zones.

  • Coordinate internal and external audits; ensure closure of notices and NCs within 30

days.

  • Manage statutory benefits (PF, ESIC, LWF, etc.) and ensure timely delivery to

employees.

  • Enroll eligible employees in government schemes (BOAT, TNSDC, etc.) to achieve

targeted subsidies (80 lakh cost saving).

6. HR Automation & Process Improvement

  • Drive HR automation for payroll, recruitment, query resolution, and claims.
  • Reduce manual interventions and improve TAT compliance across all HR processes.
  • Establish SOPs, reporting mechanisms, and real-time alerts for process adherence.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of HR operations, payroll, and statutory compliance.

• Expertise in HRMS/ERP platforms

• Proven ability in talent acquisition strategy and vendor management.

• Strong analytical and audit skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent people management, communication, and negotiation skills.

• Process-driven mindset with focus on automation and efficiency.

• MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent.

• 1015 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.

• Proven experience in handling payroll, compliance, audits, and large-scale HR

operations.

• Exposure to HR technology implementation and automation preferred.
