Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Group HR Strategy & Policy Deployment

  • Develop a unified Group HR Framework for all companies.
  • Standardize HR policies, employee handbooks, and SOPs across units.
  • Align workforce planning with production and business expansion.
  • Build organizational development and succession planning systems.

2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Lead hiring for staff, supervisors, operators, and technical roles.
  • Build strong recruitment pipelines via job portals, references, ITI/campus tie-ups.
  • Manage manpower budgeting and structured on boarding for all units.
  • Plan shift-wise manpower for new machines, new lines, and expansions.

3. Performance Management (KRA/KPI System)

  • Implement KRA-based goal-setting and review mechanisms.
  • Guide HODs in appraisals, mid-year reviews, and performance improvement plans.
  • Track performance data and link to increments, promotions, and incentives.

4. Employee Relations & IR

  • Maintain harmonious employee relations across factories.
  • Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and counselling processes.
  • Manage IR for contract labour and liaise with statutory/labour authorities.
  • Implement Standing Orders and discipline procedures.

5. Training, Skill Development & Capability Building

  • Prepare an Annual Training Calendar for all units.
  • Drive safety, quality, 5S, Kaizen, ISO/IATF training programs.
  • Conduct TNA and measure training effectiveness.

6. Compensation, Payroll & Benefits

  • Oversee payroll for all group companies ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Structure salary revisions, wage reviews, bonus, incentives, and LTA policies.
  • Benchmark wages with industry standards for competitiveness.

7. Statutory Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure 100% PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, CLRA, Maternity Act, and Factories Act compliance.
  • Maintain statutory registers, contractor documents, and audit-ready records.
  • Coordinate inspections, audits, and labour office interactions across units.
  • Ensure unit-wise compliance for multi-plant operations.

8. HR Operations & Administration

  • Manage HRMS, attendance, leave, and shift planning systems.
  • Monitor contract labour deployment, wage disbursement, and vendor compliance.
  • Oversee canteen, housekeeping, security, uniforms, PPE, and transport.
  • Drive HR digitalization and employee data automation.

9. Culture Building, Engagement & Communication

  • Build a culture of discipline, teamwork, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Drive welfare activities, engagement programs, and communication forums.
  • Promote Kaizen, 5S, and employee suggestion culture.
  • Publish HR dashboards and conduct monthly reviews.

10. Multi-Unit HR Coordination

  • Lead HR operations across the group
  • Guide and review HR teams at each location.
  • Maintain uniformity in HR reporting and governance.

Preferred candidate profile

  • 12-18 years experience in manufacturing HR (textiles/rubber/industrial preferred).
  • Strong IR knowledge and practical exposure to factory HR operations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing multi-unit setups is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication, analytical and people-handling capabilities.
