Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Partnership:

  • Collaborate with regional leaders to understand business needs and develop HR strategies that support organizational goals.
  • Provide strategic HR guidance to management and employees on all HR-related matters.

Talent Acquisition and Retention:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for the West region, including sourcing candidates through job portals, social media, employee referrals, and other channels.
  • Conduct interviews with shortlisted candidates to assess technical competencies and cultural fit.
  • Ensure timely onboarding of new hires by coordinating with stakeholders and conducting induction sessions.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
  • Develop and implement retention strategies to reduce turnover and enhance employee satisfaction.

HR Operations:

  • Oversee HR operations for joining formalities, onboarding, induction, exit processes, and other administrative tasks.

Employee Relations:

  • Address and resolve employee issues and conflicts, ensuring a positive and fair workplace environment.
  • Conduct investigations and provide recommendations in cases of workplace disputes.
  • Handle employee grievances and drive engagement initiatives to maintain a positive work environment.

Performance Management:

  • Facilitate performance appraisal processes, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
  • Identify and address performance issues and implement development plans as required.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and coordinate with the concerned teams to enhance employee skills.
  • Support IJP initiatives to promote internal mobility and employee growth.

Compliance and Policy Management:

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
  • Support to update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.

HR Metrics and Reporting:

  • Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Prepare and present reports on HR activities and outcomes.

Travel:

  • Frequent travel across Mumbai, the rest of Maharashtra, Goa, and Gujarat to support regional teams and initiatives.

Key Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in an HR Business Partner role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and basic labour laws.
  • Proven experience in recruitment and talent acquisition.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Candidates from the Retail industry will be preferred.
