Job Summary

Human Resources function of the hospital

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Operations & Administration

  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, confirmation, transfers, and exits of hospital staff.
  • Maintain employee records, personal files, and HR documentation as per

    NABH & statutory requirements

    .
  • Oversee attendance, duty rosters, leaves, shift management, and overtime.
  • Handle payroll coordination, PF, ESIC, gratuity, bonus, and statutory filings.

2. NABH Compliance & Quality Standards

  • Ensure HR policies, SOPs, and records comply with

    NABH Human Resource Management (HRM) standards

    .
  • Maintain documentation related to:
    • Staff credentials, qualifications, and competency mapping
    • Training & continuing education records
    • Performance appraisals
    • Code of conduct, ethics, and disciplinary actions
  • Coordinate with Quality Team during

    NABH audits, internal audits, and assessments

    .
  • Ensure proper staff induction and ongoing training on patient safety, infection control, ethics, and hospital policies.

3. Recruitment & Manpower Planning

  • Plan manpower requirements for clinical, paramedical, nursing, and administrative departments.
  • Coordinate recruitment of doctors, nurses, technicians, and support staff.
  • Ensure credential verification, background checks, and licensing compliance.

4. Employee Relations & Welfare

  • Address employee grievances and disciplinary matters professionally.
  • Promote a positive work culture and employee engagement.
  • Support staff welfare, maternity benefits, leaves, and workplace safety.

5. Training & Development

  • Plan and implement induction programs for new employees.
  • Organize periodic training programs as per NABH and hospital requirements.
  • Maintain training calendars and effectiveness evaluations.

6. Performance Management

  • Implement and monitor appraisal systems.
  • Support department heads in performance reviews and corrective action plans.

7. Legal & Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with:
    • Shops & Establishment Act
    • PF, ESIC, Gratuity Act
    • Maternity Benefit Act
    • Labour Laws applicable to hospitals
  • Coordinate with legal advisors when required.

Required Qualifications

  • MBA / PGDM in HR

    or equivalent
  • Knowledge of

    hospital HR processes

  • Strong understanding of NABH HRM standards

  • 58 years of HR experience (minimum 3 years in a hospital / healthcare setup preferred)
