Job Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Human Resources Officer located in Raipur. We require an HR officer for an engineering company whose principal work involves structural and pipe fabrication, as well as erection works across various sites.

The HR officer will manage the fulfillment of skilled and unskilled manpower demands, including roles such as Fitters, Fabricators, Site Engineers, Welders, and many more.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Staffing:
  • Plan and execute recruitment strategies to meet skilled and unskilled manpower demands (e.g., Fitters, Welders, Fabricators, Site Engineers).
  • Screen candidates, conduct interviews, and coordinate hiring for project sites.
  • Maintain a talent pipeline for urgent or seasonal project requirements.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies across all sites.
  • Manage work permits, contracts, and onboarding documentation for site employees.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, payroll, and employee performance.
  • Employee Relations:
  • Address grievances and resolve conflicts between site workers and management.
  • Conduct regular site visits to engage with employees and monitor working conditions.
  • Implement performance appraisal systems for site teams.
  • Training & Development:
  • Identify skill gaps and organize training programs (e.g., safety certifications, welding/fabrication techniques).
  • Coordinate OSHA or site-specific safety training for compliance.
  • Manpower Allocation & Mobility:
  • Optimize workforce allocation across multiple project sites based on demand.
  • Manage logistics for employee transfers, accommodations, and travel.

  • MBA or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, HRCI) is a plus.
  • Experience:

  • Proven track record in recruiting skilled and unskilled labor (e.g., fitters, welders, fabricators).
