Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor Reports To: Housekeeping Manager / Operations Head Location: MIT School, Ulwe, Navi Mumbai Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary:- The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping team to ensure a clean, orderly, and hygienic environment. This role involves staff supervision, quality control, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards. Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff across rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and adherence to hygiene standards Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols Prepare shift schedules and manage replacements during absenteeism Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and place orders as needed Address guest complaints and resolve issues promptly Collaborate with maintenance teams to report and follow up on repairs Maintain records of staff performance, cleaning logs, and supply usage Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations Participate in deep cleaning and special projects when required Required Skills & Qualifications Qualification Details Education High school diploma or equivalent; certification in hospitality or facility management preferred Experience 2–5 years in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role Skills Team leadership, attention to detail, time management, customer service, inventory control Technical Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals Preferred Attributes, Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays Knowledge of eco-friendly cleaning practices and sustainability initiatives
