Job Description

Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Supervision & Team Management:

  • Assign daily tasks and room sections to Room Attendants and House Persons.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate priorities, VIP arrivals, special requests, and hotel updates.
  • Train new hires on standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and the use of cleaning equipment/chemicals.
  • Monitor staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and support their professional development.
  • Maintain high team morale and a positive work environment.

2. Quality Assurance & Inspection:

  • Conduct detailed, systematic inspections of all cleaned guest rooms (check-out, stayover, and VIP) to ensure they meet the hotel's defined standards.
  • Inspect public areas (lobby, corridors, restaurants, restrooms, pool area) for cleanliness and presentation.
  • Ensure all lost and found items are logged and handled according to procedure.
  • Report any maintenance defects (e.g., plumbing, electrical, furniture damage) to the Engineering department promptly via the work order system.

3. Guest Service & Communication:

  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and concerns related to housekeeping.
  • Coordinate with the Front Office for early check-ins, late check-outs, and room status updates.
  • Handle guest complaints professionally, seeking swift resolution and escalating when necessary.
  • Ensure special guest requests (extra pillows, baby cribs, etc.) are fulfilled accurately and timely.

4. Inventory & Supply Management:

  • Manage and control linen and uniform stock, ensuring proper par levels are maintained.
  • Monitor and requisition cleaning supplies, guestroom amenities, and minibar items as per consumption.
  • Ensure proper storage and secure handling of all housekeeping supplies and equipment.
  • Control costs by minimizing waste and preventing misuse of supplies.

5. Administrative & Safety Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records: room status reports, inspection reports, lost & found logs, and attendance.
  • Ensure all housekeeping trolleys, closets, and back-of-house areas are clean, organized, and secure.
  • Strictly enforce all health, safety, and sanitation standards (including COVID-19 protocols if applicable).
  • Ensure team compliance with hotel policies regarding key control, security, and confidentiality.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹21,000.00 per month
